Our Story
Tyler grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, and Mackenzie just minutes down the road in Blanchard. Their families were connected long before they ever were. Mackenzie’s dad even worked with Tyler’s dad. As the story goes, they actually met as kids at an OU football tailgate… though neither of them remembers it quite that way.
Years later, after both attending OU at different times, their paths finally crossed again, this time for real. Tyler had just finished law school, and Mackenzie was already building her career as an interior designer in Oklahoma City.
From the start, they bonded over their shared love for OU (and Thunder Basketball), the same place their story began. Just a few months into dating, they even got to celebrate the Thunder’s first championship game together.
Now, they spend their weekends cheering on the Sooners and feel so grateful that something that started long ago turned into forever.
